Q:  How’d you get here?

In 2010, I was first introduced to SEO concepts like content writing and backlinking through my first college internship. While obtaining my undergraduate degree from Washington & Jefferson College in Arts Management, Entrepreneurship and Professional Writing and my Graduate Degree in Arts Management from Carnegie Mellon University I continued to work on a variety of projects within the digital marketing space. While working in the nonprofit community within Pittsburgh, I was offered an opportunity to work with Responsival's client InMotion as a content writer. What started as another digital marketing project soon became my full-time job, expanding Responsival beyond website design, and more deeply into digital marketing. Today, I continue to lead the marketing strategy for clients while also focusing on internal operations across the whole team.

Q:  Favorite project with Responsival?

My first client with Responsival was InMotion, so they always maintain a special place in my Responsival story. As their website launched, I wrote their first pieces of content, social posts, e-mails and campaign strategies that still serve as the foundation of their digital strategy, and it just keeps improving!

Q:  What inspires your work?

Problem solving is my biggest motivator. Whether it is improving an internal process to make a job for someone else on the team easier and more efficient or it's brainstorming a specific strategy for a client's social media campaign, everyday is new and different problems to solve.

Q:  What do you listen to while you work?

Q:  What do you do outside of work?

Outside of Responsival I am an observer and consumer of all sorts of things. I love cooking + food, British television, the sophisticated omnichannel marketing and branding strategies of Disney, visual art, history, travel, architecture --- anything I can be curious about!

Q:  Is a hotdog a sandwich?

Yes, a hotdog is a sandwich. I believe that a sandwich, by definition, is a protein or vegetable "sandwiched" or placed between two pieces of something else -- normally a carbohydrate but can be variable like a lettuce leaf. It is also often accompanied by condiments. By this theory, a hotdog is sandwich because it is a protein - sausage - in between a bun accompanied by condiments of your choice, my personal favorite is ketchup (Heinz only) and onions.
