I was browsing Handshake one day looking at new internship opportunities when Responsival's description popped up on my feed. I felt as if the company had strong values and genuinely cared for their team members. When I talked to the internship coordinator I felt nothing short of how I did while reading their job postings. While being an undergraduate student it is important to feel as if a company wants to expand your knowledge beyond the experience being obtained through studies, and Responsival does just that for their interns.
I get inspired by the fact that I can help a company flourish in the new era of e-commerce. Most company's know where to start but need a push in the right direction, so knowing I can form an end product for them that is above what they even imagined is a feeling that pushes inspiration throughout the process of working. Happy customers creates a level of satisfaction that enables me to put my all into each project. Putting together a case study is like forming a puzzle and there is nothing more satisfying than seeing each piece fall into place.
Outside of work I am a people person, I spend lots of time keeping in touch with loved ones. Especially in the new times of distancing, I love making sure each person feels seen and heard even if it is just through a video-chat. I also have a needy chihuahua that loves hiking with me, riding in the front basket of my bike, and being out in the sunshine. To me there is nothing more important than spending a few hours outside and getting some fresh air.
After looking at the definition of a sandwich, hot dogs technically meet the qualifications. That being said, I personally cannot accept that verdict.
